I have always tried to watch my weight and exercise but was tired of the usual yo-yo dieting and wanted to feel better by the time I turned 50! I was tired of not sleeping well, feeling achy and run down with no energy and needed to make a change. I needed a new approach on how to jump start my metabolism and actually LEARN how nutrition works with the body. Eat Smart allowed me to lose 30 pounds and drop 4 dress sizes!! I even lost 13 more pounds after I completed the program. I lost more inches than worrying about what the scale said. By adding protein into my daily eating habits, I truly was not hungry during the program. The support Eat Smart provided was incredible – between the text messages and introducing new habits – it was an easier and unique plan to follow. I feel wonderful and have tons of energy! Eat Smart was the key for me to my success and would highly recommend it to anyone!!
I joined eat smart 6', weighing 209 lbs with the idea of losing 5-10 lbs. I already knew how to lose the weight just needed the added incentive / push to do so. After joining and following the steps, I lost 18 lbs (I didn't even realize I had that much weight to lose). I learned several healthy recipes and substitutes such as quinoa, almond milk and sprouted bread for everyday items I was eating. This class is a perfect step into a lifestyle change and I would recommend it to everyone. This is not a new diet that lasts three months then you put the weight back on. This is a jump start into eating healthy so once the class is over you can continue to eat healthy and lose or maintain your weight loss effectively.
It has been almost two years since I took the Eat smart class. I am 40 years old and still weigh 189 lbs, and feel stronger and healthier than I did at 32 years old.

To date, I have lost 30 pounds, and I am happy to say that I would not have been successful without the support of Eat Smart, Trinity Fitness, and all the wonderful staff who helped shepherd me through this life changing journey. Kate and Dave you guys are the best!!!
Kelly was very physically active all her life and never had to worry about her weight until she hit college. Then, not only did she put on the freshman 15, but she added another 20 pounds, leaving college 35 pounds heavier than when she started. Over the years she tried numerous times to lose the weight with quick fixes, but of course nothing worked. She would lose some weight, but then fall off the diet and gain it quickly back.
Her mom offered to pay for Eat Smart and Kelly reluctantly agreed. She soon found out that she was not interested in the program and stopped following along. She knew the information was very useful, but she just wasn’t ready to change her eating habits.
Then one day her cousin posted a picture of the two of them online and that photo changed her life completely. She was shocked and hated what she saw. At that point she decided then and there to lose the weight for good.
She pulled out her Eat Smart information and dug right in. It was a hard road, but she kept at it and after 4 months she lost 40 pounds and had reached her goal weight! She credits her meal planning with the key to staying on track. That, and forgiving herself whenever she messed up.
‘Today, I work, not quite as hard, to maintain my weight. It fluctuates between 130-135. I have a sit down job again and have been able to maintain my weight. It takes extra work but I refuse to go back to the girl I was. If you want something bad enough, it’s possible. You have to be willing to make sacrifices and work at it. Nothing great in life comes easy. I’m a happier, more confident person and for the first time in my life I love my body. I left the girl who tugged at her clothes, wore tee-shirts and jeans, and feared the mirror and scale. I’m never looking back.’
After learning of my only daughter’s engagement and upcoming wedding, I wanted (and needed) to lose 50 lbs. prior to her wedding in November, 2015.
I’ve been overweight all my life. I have lost weight only to gain it back again through every weight loss program on the market. In October 2014, when Trinity Fitness opened Trinity Fitness for Her, I signed up. I attended just about every class they offered in the evenings. I just knew I would lose the weight through exercise. After 2 months of consistently working out, I managed to gain 4 lbs. to my utter dismay. During the exercise classes, I heard the instructors and other ladies talk about the Eat Smart program but thought to myself “I didn’t need to learn anything, my eating habits were good”!!
When I gained the additional 4 lbs, I knew I had to do something, so I gave in and joined Eat Smart. The class was extremely informative and so very simple to follow. Learning “how” to eat was an eye-opener for me. , I realized and learned that the eating principles combined with exercise were the keys to losing and keeping the weight off. The instructor, Jackie, was very informative and supportive. With the combination of the Eat Smart principles and the exercise, I lost 11 lbs. while attending Eat Smart and have since reached my goal of 50 lbs.
I found that not only was I experiencing a physical transformation, but through the conversations, training and friendship shared by everyone in Eat Smart and Trinity Fitness for Her, I also felt a spiritual as well as an emotional transformation. The little things that would normally anger or upset me, seemed to disappear after swinging a kettlebell and working out. ! I felt a new and invigorating positive attitude thanks to the Eat Smart classes and the Trinity Fitness for Her classes. I cannot say enough about the instructors, the inspiration they have been and the positive role models. Because of their unwavering support, for the first time in my life I have set a goal and reached it!
Not only have I lost weight and inches, I no longer suffer from debilitating migraine headaches. Prior to Eat Smart and Trinity Fitness for Her, I suffered from Migraines that were so severe; they landed me in the hospital and would last for up to a week. Since January, I have not had a full blown migraine! My health has improved, my blood pressure is back to where it was when I was in my 20’s and I feel AWESOME!
I have met my goal of 50 pounds well before the wedding date and could not have accomplished this without the instructors and support at Trinity Fitness for Her and Eat Smart!
Even though I have reached my goal, I continue to practice the Eat Smart principles and continue to work out at Trinity Fitness for Her…. It is a way of life now, my way of life and I love it.
In 2012, at 49 years old, I found myself overweight and out of shape, and turned to Trinity to help me create a new lifestyle. I found the tools I needed through the Eat Smart Program to overhaul my nutrition and was able to achieve my goal of losing 50 pounds by my 50th birthday. The Eat Smart Program also encouraged me to exercise. I had always had a sedentary office job, and purposeful exercise was never a part of my lifestyle, so it was truly a challenge to begin exercising. But once I got going, I realized I loved it and wanted to help others make the same positive lifestyle changes I had. In 2014 I became an Eat Smart Practitioner and was certified by the American Council on Exercise to be a personal fitness trainer. With the support of my husband and son, I left my job as office manager at a local private school to be on staff full time at Trinity. I have found the Trinity family of staff and clients to be a wonderful, caring community in which to work and work out.
What I have learned in the Eat Smart class has totally changed the way I stock my kitchen and the way I feed my family. It has changed the way I look at food...The food choices made are what I have chosen for myself, not a menu someone else told me to eat. Therefore, the changes are ones I (and my family) can live with for the rest of my life.
I've lost 4 dress sizes and I feel better than I ever have. People tell me every day how amazing I look, how happy and just like a different person. The program really works! I am a 54 year old male and considered myself in good shape but with some medical concerns. When I went to my doctor for my annual physical, I weighed 186 lbs and my blood pressure was around 140/88. My triglycerides where an outrageous 476 points. I knew I needed to change some things in order to improve my situation. After speaking with my sister, she suggested I try the Eat Smart Program, that if I were to take it seriously and work at it, it would make a big difference. So after a short deliberation with my wife, we decided to give a try.
The program starts you off slowly and you build upon new habits every couple weeks, I started to see a difference in the weight loss and energy increase as the program continued. I noticed myself changing how I looked at food, drinks and exercise. I noticed that my whole shopping experience changed and it was actually fun to shop differently. At the end of the 12 weeks, I can say that the new me, is very satisfied. I lost 10 -12 lbs, and more importantly, my triglycerides dropped from 476 to 196 and my blood pressure dropped from 140/88 to 125/74.

For the last 7 years I could keep my A1C levels at a static level but not lower them. But the first test, 7 months after I started the Eat Smart program, I dropped my A1C by one full point. My doctor told me to keep up whatever I was doing. He was very pleased. As a type 2 Diabetic I needed to Eat Smart and this program emphasized to me I can enjoy the food I love without missing out on a healthy lifestyle. I am living proof of the benefits of living healthier.
I went through the Eat Smart program and found not only that it really works but it’s not just for weight loss (although I did easily lose 10 pounds!). I am much healthier physically and mentally today than I was 5 years ago!
I got tired of seeing what I saw in the mirror. I had been lying to myself about my weight and physique. I watched myself slowly gain weight despite working out regularly. As David Scott constantly tells me, you cannot out train a bad diet. In January, I decided to take the Eat Smart Program. Over these last 16 weeks, I have strived to eat cleaner, and change my eating lifestyle. This morning was my last class and weigh in. Thanks to the teachings, the habits, the coaches and the support of those in class with me, I was able to lose over 31 lbs and 7 inches off of my stomach. I feel stronger, healthier, and have more energy than I have had in a long time. I highly recommend anyone looking to change their eating and lead a healthier life to check out this program!
