Are you struggling with a certain area of your diet that you just can’t seem to clean up? Do you beat yourself up each time you ‘mess up’ and eat/drink whatever it is you tell yourself you shouldn’t eat/drink? Perhaps you can’t seem to avoid a sugary sweet each afternoon or the pretzel jar calls your name consistently every day. Each time you ‘mess up’ you berate yourself and wonder why you just can’t get your act together. If that sounds like you, have you thought of just…letting it go? Sometimes we need to move away from a goal for awhile if things just aren’t working out. If we try over and over again to stop a habit or gain a new one and we continually fail, perhaps a new point of view is in order. Let go of your old goal and find a new one. Can’t resist an evening sweet? Let it go and…let yourself have it. Focus on another part of your diet that needs attention. Allow yourself to ‘mess up’ with the sweet and improve in another area. Maybe at a later time, after you have accomplished other goals, you will come back and conquer those sweets. In the meantime, be like Elsa and just let it go.
